This year the students of class 8, who did not go to England for a language course, got the chance to make linguistic experiences too.
At the Language Farm in Hausen/Thuringia we could prove our language skills. There were some native speakers from many different parts of the world. Alex (England, Norwich), Dellamae (USA, California), Erin (Australia), Jamie (Canada, Vancouver)and Sophie (Wales, Brecon) talked about their home countries, spent the day with us and organized lots of funny things. We had a regular daily routine, so it was not boring at any time. We took care of the farm animals in the camp, got to know many new sporting activities, cooked everything ourselves and discovered new recipes and international dishes.
There were many interesting and creative projects like drawing, designing Werwolf game cards, baking or making music.
The night before leaving we watched all the crazy presen-tations of these projects and believe me: Shakespeare had loved them.
In the evenings we sang songs at the open fire, played funny games or watched a movie together.
On this trip we have not only met new people from around the globe, we have also got to know each other much better.
It was really interesting at the Language Farm and at the end very emotional, because saying Goodbye to the counsellors was hard.
